Can the books be read stand alone or do you have to read them in order?

To fully understand the entire series plot you will need to read them in chronological order from the beginning.

What book should I start with?

Rising Shadows

What is the reading order?

Rising Shadows

A Scarlet Fury

Belong to the Night

Lost in Paradise

How many books will there be?

Currently I plan for eight books.

Will you write any more World in Shadows books once the original series is done?

I can't see abandoning the series. Haven't made any plans yet of where I will go with the series once I am done with Livia's book

Will you write any other genre besides paranormal romance?

Yes! I have a sci-fi romance idea and a contemporary romance in mind.

Are Sassy the cat and Inigo Montoypug real?

Yes!

In the book: Sassy was Cleary's cat in A Scarlet Fury.

In real life: She is my mother's cat and truly is a huge diva.

In the book: Inigo Montoypug calls Elisavet "Mom" in Belong to the Night.

In real life: He's attached at the hip to my son most days.

Have you always been a writer?

I've always been a storyteller. I started writing when I was in fifth grade.  I didn't do a lot of writing beyond angsty teenage poetry until I was in my mid-twenties.

If you weren't writing what would you be doing?

Still a stay at home mom to three home schoolers. When I was a kid I wanted to be a veterinatian at the San Diego Zoo.

do you like to listen to music while you write or do you prefer quiet?

I need music to write. Mostly I have a lot of rock on my writing playlist. I'm always adding to it.

As a reader, is there a trope that draws you in?

Friends to lovers

Enemies to lovers

Reformed Rake

Arranged marriage

I think the only one I'm not a fan of is infidelity. I've been known to make exceptions for that trope.

How do you balance being a writer and your home life?

My life is chaotic but I love it. I slip writing in when my youngest is napping or after everyone has gone to bed at night.

What's a book you could read over and over?

Rock Me by Cherrie Lynn
